Amina of Rudo uye Simba, whom we call Rosa, is a female from our own breeding, our first litter. She chose us! Her exterior is characterized by sublime elegance and grace, and her character is determined but at the same time balanced and calm. She is very confident. Rosa is energetic but not crazy, very safe with people, accepting but setting her boundaries with other dogs. She loves sleeping in bed and is a real glutton, although her impeccable figure does not indicate it. Thanks to the fact that she stayed with us, we can observe a beautiful relationship with her mother – Freya. You can see from them that they are family!
Bogota of Rudo uye Simba, affectionately called Boggi or Bogdan, is a special dog for us. She was the only one to survive the hardships of giving birth to our second litter. Raised by the best dog mother in the world – our Vesper – Bogota grew up to be a true individual. She’s everywhere! Wherever she goes, she attracts the attention of everyone around her – both with her outstanding exterior and volcanic personality. She is incredibly devoted and loves with all her heart. We are proud to observe her development under the care of her co-owner. Bogota is a dog with a strong and proportional body structure, beautiful ridge and expressive head. Her appearances in exhibitions’ rings are her true element, thanks to which she successfully wins subsequent beauty titles.
Cassala Hati Singa, also known as Freya, is the best example of how gallant the Rhodesian Ridgeback is. Freya has an incredibly strong character and predispositions to lead the pack, she embodies all the features of the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed: a majestic exterior, a perfect ridge and head. Looking into her eyes, gleaming with intelligence, you may wonder if she is really a dog. She is not afraid to show what she likes and what she doesn’t, and more than once, the attempts to break her stubbornness have ended with failure. Constantly demanding caresses, Freya is happiest when she can lie completely covered with a quilt in bed between her owners.
Valentina of Mombasa, Vesper for us, is the most loving dog we have ever met. She is gentle, delicate and incredibly emotional. Ideally suited for the company of children and other animals. Her extremly athletic body allows her to run for hours without a break. Surprisingly Vesper adores water and can swim through the Adriatic Sea with her beloved “mum” (a trait rarely found in other ridgebacks). She would travel alongside her owner to the 9th circle of hell and back. Strong, resistant, and at the same time cautious and sensible. When you get to know Vesper better you get the impression that her main goal is to give love.
Kabisa came to us when she was almost half a year old. She drove up to our house in a large delivery truck, got out and, not really paying any attention to two adult bitches, entered our house happily announcing: Here I am! Kabisa is a volcano of energy that, seemingly inactive, only awaits eruptions. She can lie motionless for hours to suddenly jump up, run outside and let the world and local mushroom pickers know about her existence. It is a real pleasure to watch her growing up. She is extremely socialable and playful. You don’t have to ask her twice to play tag. She is an intense, wheat red color with no white, her body is strong and resilient but on the other hand very feminine. Her glare hides a mischievous gleam. The perfect companion for children. I have not seen any other living creature watch the nature films of David Attenborough with such attention.
From our experience, we can assure you that Rhodesians are very active dogs.
Another feature of the Rhodesians. And it’s not just an empty word!
Our bitches have a clearly established herd hierarchy and that is what Rhodesians really need.
